The name Delta is rooted in the idea of change. In mathematics, the delta symbol (Δ) represents a shift or transformation — a fitting reflection of what therapy is designed to support.
The shape itself, a triangle, also mirrors the CBT triangle, which illustrates how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected. This model guides much of the work we do together, helping you understand your patterns and develop tools for meaningful change.
Our logo also resembles a mountain, symbolizing the therapeutic journey: it can take time, effort, and courage to climb — but with support and the right tools, you reach a place of greater clarity, strength, and wellbeing.
Psychotherapists
Hold a Master’s degree and provide talk therapy using evidence-based approaches (like CBT). They help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. They do not diagnose or prescribe medication.
Psychologists
Hold a PhD or PsyD and provide therapy as well as diagnose mental health conditions through formal assessments. They cannot prescribe medication in Ontario.
Psychiatrists
Medical doctors who diagnose mental health conditions and can prescribe medication. Many focus on medication management rather than ongoing therapy.
A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in effective therapy, so it’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable working with.
To help, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to achieve, and whether my approach feels like a good match for your needs.
While I strive to support a wide range of clients, I primarily work with adults 18+ who are experiencing:
Not every therapist is the right fit for every person—and that’s completely okay. The consultation is a chance to see if we feel like a good match before committing to regular sessions.
Your well-being is our top priority, and that includes protecting your confidentiality. What you share in therapy stays private, with a few legal exceptions, such as:
Outside of these situations, nothing is shared without your permission. I also take a collaborative approach — if a report ever needs to be made, we will discuss it together so you’re never caught off guard.
My fee is $175 per 50-minute session, and psychotherapy services are HST-exempt. Payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer at the time of your appointment.
If you request a report, letter, or other written documentation (for an employer, physician, school, or insurance provider), the time required to prepare these materials will be billed at the same hourly rate.
Receipts are provided for insurance or tax purposes.
Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP, but they are typically covered by most extended health insurance plans, including (but not limited to) providers such as Blue Cross, Green Shield, Manulife, Sun Life, Canada Life, and Desjardins.
Coverage varies, so I encourage clients to check with their insurance provider before booking to confirm:
Please note that direct billing is not available. Clients are expected to pay for sessions at the time of their appointment and will receive a receipt that can be submitted to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
No referral is required. You can contact me directly to start therapy. However, if you need documentation for insurance purposes, some plans may require a note from a physician.
You can schedule a session online through the website, either by clicking the ‘BOOK NOW’ button or filling out the contact form, or you can reach me directly by email (regan@deltapsychotherapy.ca) or phone (647-875-5701).
If you’re a new client, you’re welcome to arrange a free 15-minute consultation to talk about your goals and see if we’re a good fit.
Your first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and explore the challenges you’re facing. We’ll also talk about therapy structure, frequency, and what approach will work best for you.
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the issues you want to work on. Some clients find short-term therapy helpful, while others benefit from ongoing support. We’ll regularly review progress and adjust as needed.
We ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee.
Exceptions can sometimes be made in cases of illness or family emergencies. If this applies, please reach out as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
Delta Psychotherapy is a fully virtual clinic, so we provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to clients across Ontario — this includes, but is not limited to:
